Airguard® DP® extended surface, pleated air filters offer low pressure drop and high dust-holding capacity. They are suitable for use in virtually any air handling system, particularly those that require high performance, durability, and extended service life. This includes filter banks, central station air handlers, rooftop units, side access housings, as final filters for systems with MERV 8 or MERV-A 8-A requirements or pre-filters in multi-stage systems. The filter design utilizes a consistent pleat shape on predetermined centers, allowing dirt to collect evenly over the entire surface of the media. The two-piece frame provides rigidity with double-wall thickness around the outer edge. The filter also features a die-cut pattern, which results in 50% more contact points between the media pack and the frame. 100% thermally bonded synthetic, proprietary media provides extra protection against damage from moisture, delaminating, excessive buckling, collapsing, warping, and bending, which can often cause alternative filter products to prematurely fail. All DP filters exceed ASHRAE Standard 52.2 air cleaning specifications for filters installed upstream of cooling coils. Filters may be installed with the pleats either vertical (preferred) or horizontal.Available with thickness of 1-, 2- or 4-in. For filters with 6-in thickness, see the DP® Max.
